It’s a big day for Ethereal Grove (no florals)! This is my second time stitching out Sweet Pea’s Ethereal Grove quilt pattern. The first time I did it exactly as designed in the largest size. I love that version, but this time I really wanted to bring down some of the noise in it. I’ve sat here and meticiously edited out all of the florals and other intense embroidery sections just focusing on the mandalas, bugs, and some of the space themes. A secondary goal was to highlight my collection of CherryWood hand dyed fabrics. While they are beautiful on the shelf and I love looking at them there, it seemed like a much cooler idea to actually use them all. It’s intense with color everywhere and I kind of love it.
